So far over the last two weeks we have captured almost
2,000 great crested newts in South Essex. After 11 days the capture rate has dramatically been reduced - we have also been looking for gcn at night with torches with far higher returns. The receptor site has produced the first few gcn eggs after water mint and grasses were relocated from the donor site J |
