........all the way home!
Hi all, wandering through the Forest of Dean today i had a very memorable wildlife encounter. can ya tell what it is yet??: hairy humbugs shivering in a hollow and no sign of mama. i quickly took a cpl pix and departed: "Squeal like a piggy boy!" |

And to the vigilant the spoils! How do you rate that in terms of your best ever wildlife encounters Ben? Aesthetically speaking, they'd make a cracking fur coat.

thanks folks
it sure was an event to note in the diary! tho' the fact that mum wasnt around suggests something was awry i think. was it as thrilling to me as finding an unexpected Slow Worm Noodles? Nah!! if you visit the FoD, youve a fair chance of spotting boar esp in crepuscular circumstances; you are guaranteed to see their signs. you dont need to wander many metres to find them. great to see. glad they are where they are tho - dont let them near my sensitive adder or orchid sites! all the best, Ben |
