Hi all, a few years ago I saw and photographed a water frog at a pond in Epping. I don't know which species it is, but I'm leaning towards Pool or Edible. The pond in question is here. Does anyone know this population and the species in question? |

Hi - yes, I know the pond and its frogs - they're supposed to be southern clade pool frogs, Pelophylax lessonae, but the ones I have seen look on the large side, more like marsh frogs - perhaps some genes from each? they're thought to have been established in the Bell Common area of EF for decades. Jon Cranfield at Essex ARG knows more about them, I think.
