Does anyone know by how much if anything is a slough stretched compared to the actual length of a snake? We've been given an intact  5ft 3inch slough, which was found in a bramble bush last weekend. A colleague who works at the Museum says that the slough is likely to be about 25% longer than the animal due to stretching. Anyone got any definitive answers to this ?
