The weird thing is Chris, that having rated only this thread, all the others now appear normal when I browse through them!
So I can't help much this end as I can't duplicate it now either. |

I do sympathise with all this. I look after a website and we allow people to email us through a contact email address which feeds the mail to 3 people. We three are now inundated with spam emails which means I'll have to remove the facility and rethink it. Also when looking at the website on my iPad some of it won't display properly.
Anyway well done for all your work as I do know how long it can all take. |

Hi Suzy, I found a really great way to almost completely eradicate spam emails, use a 'dot' in the email address.
Such as Suz.mail@myweb.co.uk I picked this up as one of those random things you read but it absolutely works in my experience, hence all my business emails now have a dot in them and it is extremely rare to receive spam on them. Also on a website mask the email address. If you publish it direct in the page it will be picked up very quickly by spamming software. There are various ways to do it.

Thanks Gemma. Yes I know how to mask an email address. I naively thought that we'd be OK and we have been for two years, but not now - totally my fault. Must say I hadn't heard of the dot wheeze!
