Can't seem to find anyone that knows what these are. Found in North Kent in multiple ponds in late July. Approx 5mm in diameter. Ponds have been known to host large great-crested newt population in the past, but didn't find any unhatched eggs (possibly too late in the season). Can't find any information on hatched eggs anywhere. Thank you in advance.

Sorry for late reply, though I cannot identify these I have seen them before.

I can confirm  they are not hatched GCN eggs. A hatched GCN egg looks just like an unhatched one, but with the brown blob (embryo) missing from the center. The clear round gelatinous ball that is left rarely persists for long after hatching.
