I always see it in my garden, they have been appearing for years. I don't know if it's the same one all the time or not but I leave the back door open sometimes for my dogs to go out and it keeps coming in!! I just found it on my kitchen floor so popped him back out in the garden.

I just wondered what it is. It sort of puffed up two balls at the back near it's legs.

Yes indeed, this is a Common Toad. Lovely little animals and always nice to see in the garden - although it is far from unusual for them to wander in through open doors!
