From Tony P who still has a problem with his forum login (hope we can sort this soon Tony) Buzzards don't take many adders, although they probably take more grass snakes and lizards. Crows and magpies account for more adders than anything else.
Hedgehogs eat adders from the tail up; stoats will take adders; and at Cors caron, and other parts of Wales, the polecat is a significant predator.
Birds of prey like buzzards are looking for movement, exposed gravid female adders almost never get nabbed being so static.

Now that Red kites have increased so much in Central Southern England and elsewhere, could they be possible predators of reptiles? Although they mainly scavenge for carion, they certainly are known to take small animals as well.
