Just breezin' through.....
I use a self-contained camera with SD card, which triggers on movement detection. Compact and surprisingly effective! There are now loads of movement-activated camera/recorders marketed specifically for wildlife & hunting- usually called 'trail cameras'. I've never used any, so don't know if they'd trigger on anything as small as a lizard, though...
