Hi, I have read in a couple of books and online that grass snakes can, in rare cases, grow to 6'3" or more. Are there any documented cases of such a beast? Pictures with size reference or something like that. Not only in the UK, can be from anywhere with grass snakes, Natrix natrix.

Paul I reported that I had had one over 5foot some years back sadly when I caught it was in the days of no internet and no digital cameras hence the only record is in my head. there still must be some biguns out there but alas ever encroachment on habitat today make it harder for their survival into any larger size.keith
