How big are the muco capsules surrounding individual Common Frogs' eggs when laid, by what percentage do they swell in water and how quickly does this occur?

Caleb...thoughts?

Maxwell Savage says that the jelly layer is 0.3mm thick when inside the frog, and swells to resemble normal spawn 'in a few hours' when placed in water.

In my experience, it keeps swelling slowly for at least a few days.

Not sure what percentage it increases by, but it must end up at least ten times thicker than it started...
