I was chatting to a horse breeder yesterday and during my usual interrogation of horse breeders and their muck heaps I asked if she had snakes using hers. No she hadn't but when collecting fodder bales from a neighbouring farmer she had uncovered two adults asleep under a hay bale stack. This was within a three side enclosed dutch barn in January, so they were obviously hibernating. Anyway i though it an interesting observation on hibernation.
