Hi,
Just been to Allerthorpe tonight and spotted 5 Adders. Some were in the fenced off reserve and others were nearby. I saw no others in the parts where work has been carried out, but I'll keep looking. There were 3 common lizards on different islands on the bare areas, just showing that a few managed to survive. Here's a few pics of four of the Adders. One was in pre-molt as you can see, while another seemed to have a damaged eye/s. Strimmer damage maybe? |

thanks for posting...glad you have some good news to report. interesting how they all have similar thick 'zig zag' markings. the female is a very nice looking snake
