I found a female Great  Crested Newt under the washing up bowl containing water for my chickens, just as i  tipped out  the  bowl something moved and attracted my chickens, fortunatly i  got to it first. I have released it near a pond in an over grown plot  behind my garden. That pond has probably not been disturbed for years and could  be a haven for these newts.

The newt has been returned to the pond and stupidly i never thought of taking a picture. I will take pictures of the pond and the area surrounding it and post it here in the next few days.
