Mark had a grass snake a few days ago.

I managed a breeding pair in October in 2007 - I haven't
been out much this autumn to find any others

About 4 years ago I saw a dead grass snake at Wicken Fen Cambridge on November 21st. It was a young of the year and was just lying on grass in a clearing. No obvious sign of damage but it must have been out in the cold.

As Jon mentioned, I found a grassie, approx 2 and a half foot long last Wednesday.  I wasn't expecting to see it as I was at work, still its nice to herps when least expected.

Hi Keith,

didn't know if you were trying to Pm me the photo I was talking about but although it didn't load properly, don't worry as I got it off the site, hope that's ok?

Happy hunting, the sun's out at last!

Rob
