hi had a brief look yesterday on the
way back between the showers ,and was lucky to see a pair that shot off before I could fire a shot off, then spotted and snapped another sleepy one trying to get as much out of the pathetic sunshine, that was showing still not yet located any adders,there must be some as the heather and bracken clad heath give all the impressions of an ideal habitat. I guess the dull conditions were on your side Keith. Grass snakes in the open are so hard to spot (disappearing tails are quite common!).
