This weekend sees the resuption of reptile and amphiban monitoring at heathland restoration sites in Southeast Wales, between Chepstow and Monmouth. These are FC sites which have been clearfelled, and which will now be managed to restore lowland heathland.
GARG has the contract to monitor the reptile and amphibian population as it evolves in the short term (next 5 years) and hopefully beyond, so if you live in the area and would like to help out, PM me to join GARG in the first instance. The sites support Adders, Grass snakes, Common lizards, GCNs and all the 'common' amphib spp. |
