Will is the best person to answer, but there is as far as I know a population of Aesculapian snakes around Camden Lock. The description sounds like one, quite harmless.

I don't know London, but might it be an Aesculapian snake? If you Google it, there's lots about them in London and Wales. They are quite specific to small areas in these places, so if the sighting was in the vicinity...

just seen and reported a loan snake wiggling down Albany street pavement in camden.
Police have referred it to RSPCA - but be alert. about 4 foot long - tan - no markings - was last seen in the gardens of 204 Albany street. |
