Just returned from a short camping trip to Anglesey. There were Viv lizards right next to our pitch. At first I thought the gravid female was shedding but in the second pic it looks like something more sinister. She's obviously been through the wars and has lost her tail recently and maybe a digit on her right rear foot.

Lovely shots Tim. The female looks a lot like when we use to have regular cat attacks on the lizards, so I guess as you say a recent encounter with a predator. She looks in reasonable shape though, so hopefully will recover.
