hi all.

what has become my annual birthday indulgence...spending the day alone photographing adders. For the first time ever i managed to photograph every one i spotted (10) although i think this has more to do with the cool weather than my burgeoning field craft lol.

Lovely images - has it been warm for a few days where you are or do they come out at the first sign of higher temperatures?

@ gemma. thank you. i prefer them on here too :). 

@chubsta. thanks. we've had a couple of decent days but still relatively cool. i think it's a combination of things that trigger their emergence but temp is certainly one of them. doesn't have to be too warm though as they're pretty hardy. today was around 6-7 degrees without the sun.
