Anybody seen/heard any meadow grasshoppers this year, they should be around by mid July. Either they're late or last year's catastrophically wet summer wiped them all out.

How very strange - I have noticed that I haven't seen any and have just been wondering exactly the same thing!?

Having seen this and not heard any in the garden I went and had a look today. There were a lot of straw coloured ones leaping about. I'm presuming these are young ones as they aren't as big as the grasshoppers I usually have but are in the place that is usually favoured.
