Ha Keith you've reminded me of cuckoos which I'd forgotten about. I was out walking on the heath this evening - blowing a gale and heavy looking sky. Evenings in early May other years I've often seen/heard cuckoos on this East Devon heath. Nowt moving!

Well a usual cold bank holiday day with wind and showery rainy, but I had a look at the heath on the way back from a boot sale see a couple of shellducks ,still not heard a cuckoo. then I spotted a adder slough, and thought thats all I am going to see 2day , then just as about to give up spotted this little brownie out the corner of me eye, who was not going to pose and took of at the first click of the camera but managed a few .this is me first one this year & from Suffolkkeith
