Well iam pleased to say a good turnout of froggies have already made there way to my garden pond, (Cardiff South Wales) first noticed about 20 males yesterday, having seen the neighbours cat looking in the pond the last two mornings! one pair in amplex today and i noticed quite a few palmates back in the pond tonight aswell, lets hope they dont spawn until the frosts have passed Edited by evilmike |

Nice !
Not a single frog or toad seen in my garden (Surrey) since Xmas....despite the new pond....yet. A few terrestrial newts wandering about aimlessly tho. |

Frogs are present in my pond, but really active. Three palmates showing when i torched it a couple of nights ago, but most startling was the number of alpines male and female that have turned up really early this year - 17 animals visible !

Not frogs I know, but on the theme of emerging amphibs, toad crossed the road in front of me last night, and one of our members, Sam Lewanewski, reported one just before christmas.

All my Alpine Newts are out and about in their enclosure, but not seen any of the Fire Salamanders yet. Common Frogs are also making there presence felt in my gardens small pools, but no sight of any other amphibians yet although i have no doubt they're up and running...or hopping.

Hooray! my frogs have eventually turned up ! First two last night, both still resident and aquatic.
Both are 'old friends' :P |

4 Frogs in my pond last night (one the night before). Had lots last year and no spawn so I'm not building my hopes up too high. I'm in East Devon.
