Hi all,
      How common are blue blotches on the head/ neck of female slowies?  I think I read somewhere that it isn't too common- I could be wrong.   I'm curious because I captured a female from one of my sites last week with the blotches on her head.  I have piccies which I'll post if requested.

Always post piccies ! .

I thought the blue blotches were only found on male Af...but with my colour-sight I have to rely upon reports :P, Would love to see the pics!

Hi Mark

Nice mating scars - these are from the male slowworm who grabs the female just where those marks are -they probably are not the same as the blue coloured scales found on males (as shown in this photo)

I remember finding one with so much blue its entire back was a vivid blue but I had no camera d'oh!
