after a successful day of grass snaking yesterday my kids spent this afternoon searching for amphibians in the garden. they found quite a few terrestrial newts including three efts that could easily be this years metamorphs. is this early?
cheers tim

It's not outside the established range but definitely at the early end for our small newt species, so for sure they could be this years.
