Might be a tricky one actually! Trouble is, so far as I am aware, Common Liz not found in Portugal ! But, of course, being a newspaper they may not have been anywhere near Portugal ! But it certainly isn't any kind of Fringe Toed Lizard (generally Eremias and relatives!) Balkans and eastwards. Might be young (probably male) hispanica - although not "typical" they have a huge range of markings. Chris |

Exactly what I thought Will, but no doubt it will cost thousands being kept in special quarantine escape proof accomodation.
