Hi folks,
While wandering in a wood recently, i happened upon this piece of wood which i thought resembled a Lapwing or similar ![]() Can you see that? ![]() And no, i hadn't been eating any 'funny' mushroooms. ![]() I'm far too long in the tooth for the kind of antics that were commonplace among students of my generation 30 years ago! |

Well - *I* can see what you mean although unsure of the species. Summat with a long neck and its head chopped off??

That's how I first saw it too Chris! Then I saw it as a Lapwing's head, beak on the left and the 'neck' is a crest, the 'whorl' or knot in the wood is the eye. I saw a huge leatherback turtle float across the sky the other day too!
