Just a quick report of some very active common frogs today at 13.00 in Dartford. 40+ spawn clumps, 20+ frogs basking in the midday sun, mostly males, no pairs observed.

Also common frog and common toad spawn in nearby temporary pond where we rescued a lot of spawn last year. Fortunately the level of water is much lower this year which seems to have discouraged mass spawning.. so far
