Although I have found common frogs all year round (christmas day once), today is the latest/earliest i have ever seen one in my pond! They don't spawn in my pond but are active from March through till september. Maybe this year we might get a spawning??????

I too have lots of frogs but no spawning! I put in a large deep pond this autumn so hoping for more frogs and newts this next year.
I think the trouble with my first pond is it doesn't get any sun till mid-February, so they find it unsuitable. My new one is in sunlight range all year. |
