Today I had gotten bored working so I decided to take my dog for a walk on the local (10 miles away) heath.
I was pleased to see the heathland is well maintained. In the pond (half covered by some sort of pond weed) I saw many toad tadpoles shoaling and also some frog tadpoles. They appeared well developed and healthy. In the pond itself there was some movement (frogs?). I was unable to look closer due to having to prevent dog (part newfoundland) from attemting to swim the pond. |
