Great Pics . Love the orange on your Grassy's neck .

I'll post pics of the grass snake I rescued from the garage yesterday later on . I've just been out on Ash ranges with my daughter releasing it.

Ta Al, this little thing is seriously jet propelled, I can't remember ever going to so much trouble to catch a grassie  I'm glad he's been hanging around though I first spotted him just over a week ago hunting in the pond. I've hopes that the garden will provide all he needs. Still having said that some seem to just come and go. We saw one of the vivi lizards today for the first time in over 2 months, not sure if he went for a wander or has been to ground for the hot weather. He's next on my 'hit list'

Can't wait to see your piccies

Hi Gemma ,

He he , I do hope he skunked you too

Well, At least you're getting them , and that's great news , i'm so jealous.
This one from the garage just sat perfectly still in the corner as I reached over to pick Him/Her up.
It still managed to stink my hands up though

Yep well and truly skunked for my troubles. I did threaten to Merv that I might start using it as my usual perfume

The're great pics Al , how did you do the lighting, is it flash or just positioning? I was using a lens protector, seems to have darkened my piccies a little.

LOL! Glad to hear it , but poor Merv

Thanks Gemma , there was no flash used . I posed the snakey making sure there were light green leaves in the background to create the soft green , then once again used my mini tripod and release cable.
Lens protector shouldn't darken your pics , i've got one on mine a Jessops UV . Is yours a UV Filter?
