Hello all,
Went out on a survey with a chap who knew a lot about birds today. As we approached the pond, we put up shapes even i could ID: some Snipe and a pair of Grey Heron. Shortly, wading around, some regurgitate was found which he attributed to the latter species and i agreed. We fished it out, picked it apart and examined it in a tray. Our group surveyed several ponds and encountered a pleasing range of herp and non-herp species, but personally, I thought this puke was the most interesting find of the day. Bits of adult Rana, some frog spawn, earthworms and dragonfly larvae can all be seen here. Anybody spot anything else? Edited by Liz Heard - 15 Mar 2014 at 8:35pm |
