Last Sunday (16/2/14) i sighted my first adder for 2014.
I did capture some record shots of him, but i didnt want to disturb the snake too much, so the photos are not that good. It was a young male(sub-adult) and he appeared to have been out of hibernation for some time? Found in Area 2. Time was approx 1.30pm. Woodland location. I hope to get out this weekend, so i may well see him/or others, if i visit the same location? |

Well, i went back to the same area/location on Saturday (22/2/14) sighted 3 male adders, and my 1st common lizard for 2014. I did see the same sub-adult male too.
There was still a cold wind blowing on the day, but at least there was more sunshine with it. Captured some nice images of both snake and lizard. Location was woodland/ride. |
