I know we have the id section for this but I could swear this adder is a female ,I know some are out already but really finding it hard to sex this one.Its not just me having trouble or I wouldnt have asked.

Thanks Gemma,this site is very different to another one I visit as at this one there are plenty of males and not as many (so far) females .The other site is totally the reverse of this,shame they are not closer together.

Hi Dave, Populations are generally 50/50 you might be seeing a different emergence pattern i.e one site is ahead of the other as females emerge later than males, or is this longterm data? |

one site is a small isolated population and is weighed heavily towards females.Just one and a bit years data from the other so definatly more research to be done.
