John, one of my Surrey sites is 240m, limited by habitat only from the peak of 250m. Nearest high point is 272, seen one or 2 near the top of the very shear slope in the past. Though I don't fancy falling down it again to check the exact height.

Tony: would it be appropriate for you to start a new thread detailing the type of information that would be useful to you for your book? People could either post responses in the thread or collate their data and send it to you in the format you prefer. Just a thought.
